Title: AI for safe autonomous systems
Artificial intelligence is one the biggest trends that facilitates a digital transition. Photonics and AI work hand in hand to generate new digital applications, ranging from safe self-driving cars, diagnosis in healthcare based on imaging data and optimization of mechatronic designs. During this presentation we will show a range of applications of AI relevant for the field of photonics and present some of the key developments in research in AI.
Babette Bakker is a strategic consultant in AI and data-driven policy at TNO. She makes the connection between technology and societal challenges and uses AI and Big Data for more effective decision-making. Until 2021, she was program manager of the artificial intelligence program at TNO, which focuses on safe autonomous systems and responsible decision-making. She has a background in Data Science at JADS, System Dynamics at an Erasmus Mundus program and International Economics at Radboud University.
