Biography
After a bachelor in Physics, Laura obtained a master degree in Biophysics at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome (Italy). Since her master project, at the single molecule Biophotonics group at ICFO in Barcelona (Spain), she developed deep interest in the application of advanced microscopy techniques to living systems. Specifically, she focused on single particle tracking to investigate protein-protein interactions in living cell membranes. In 2017, she joined Elizabeth Carroll lab at TU Delft where she works on developing an instrument for focal optogenetic manipulations in living zebrafish embryo.
